Should I consider finances?

In the economy we live in it's important to pay attention to your finances. Some people say how can finances play into being a writer. Well it costs to be a writer. We buy certain supplies to keep up the hobby. If you are a published author, self published author at that, it costs. It costs for marketing, editing, PR etc whether you do it yourself or not. So it's important to consider your finances.


So what do you really consider? Well we know that our familes must survive. That means food and a roof over your head comes first. But what I really mean to consider is how much you will put into your book this time around. Will you hire someone to edit your book? Will you go with a more expensive book? Do you need to push your book a year or so until your finances get better?


These are questions you need to ask yourself. Yes we all have a love for something but sometimes when it comes to prioritizing, some things must take a back burner. Always consider your finances.
